1. Tell us a bit about your hometown. Where do you insist on taking out of town guests?

The Mornington Peninsula region is about 70 kilometres south of Melbourne in Victoria. It's a green and hilly area surrounded by stunning beaches and lovely towns. I like to take people for beach walks and a bite to eat at a local cafe or perhaps a winery if they'd like to try some local wines.
My favourite restaurant is an Italian place in Mornington called DOC that serves a Nutella calzone (you'd need to ride your bike for a long time to burn one off but it's worthwhile!).

2. Where is your favorite place to take your Po Campo?

I like to load my Po Campo Logan Tote and Six Corners Handlebar Bag with my gym gear and ride to the gym. My handlebar bag takes my bike computer and phone while the tote easily carries a change of clothes, towel, headphones and recovery drink.

3. A favorite tip (or two) about how you incorporate mindfulness and healthy habits into your daily life?

Give yourself permission to be selfish and have some 'me' time. We've become so wired into frantic lifestyles that doing things for ourselves seems 'bad' rather than an investment in good mental and physical health.

4. A suggestion for women who are interested in biking but have safety concerns?

I lead a women's cycling skills group run by Cycling Australia (called She Rides). Many women have concerns about safety so we break skills into smaller chunks and practice them first. For example, many women are concerned about their safety when riding in a group so we practice head checks and signaling off the bike and then individually on the bike. Then we practice riding two abreast and in single file in pairs before learning group riding skills. That way, confidence and skills grow together safely. It's amazing to hear women who haven't ridden for 20 years saying, "I never thought I'd be able to do that!"

5. Favorite biking memory?

There are too many to recall, but we rode on mountain bikes in the rain recently. Someone splashed me with mud and everything descended into a contest about who could get more water and mud on everyone else. We returned to our cars cold and dirty but with huge smiles on our faces.

6. If you could have dinner with anyone (living or dead) who would it be, and why?

I think Tina Fey is my spirit animal so I'd definitely choose her! I first saw her on '30 Rock' while on a long-haul flight and watched every episode I could. Now I'm a big 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' fan and love Tina's input behind the scenes and on the screen -- she's so clever and inappropriately funny.

7. If you could wake up fluent in any language, which would it be?

I started learning German a few years ago when I worked for a German company and I'd love to have better command of the language. The mouth and tongue movements are so different and more subtle than my Australian drawl, hey mate?
