About Venus de Miles

Voted Best Cycling Event twice by Competitor Magazine, Illinois’ only all-women’s bike ride now offers a 5k run to bring even more women of all athletic abilities together in the celebration of sisterhood.

On-course participants are treated to healthy snacks and support from the Men-In-Drag crew while the festival afterwards features complimentary lunch, cocktails, and spa services, a variety of vendors, and a lot of fun.

About Greenhouse Scholars

Greenhouse Scholars, is an education organization that works with extraordinary college students from low-income communities and inspires, supports, and drives them to change the trajectory of their careers, their families, and their communities - forever.

In 2014 more than 300 women participated in Venus de Miles in the spirit of sisterhood and community, raising over $20,000 for Illinois’ most promising and deserving college students.

Why we're partnering with Venus de Miles and Greenhouse Scholars

The Venus de Miles ride is all about sisterhood! As women in the bike industry, we've experienced how supportive women-only events can be. We're thrilled they chose Illinois for their second location. Along with the event, they also created a branch of Greenhouse Scholars in Illinois. Po Campo believes it's important to expand access to higher education and thanks Greenhouse Scholars for empowering our future community leaders.

About Po Campo

Po Campo makes bags that fit your life. Founder Maria Boustead started the company when she was looking for a bag functional enough to attach to her bike while riding through Chicago and stylish enough to use as her normal bag off the bike. When she couldn’t find any bag with that versatility, she decided to make it herself.

Constructed of weatherproof, vegan fabrics and featuring practical details like reflective accents and intuitively placed pockets, Po Campo bags are built for experiencing the joys of life.
