I was amazed at how much I packed into this bag. I wanted something that could use as a back pack if I needed to. I'm a small adult but the straps are long enough to fit a much taller person. I found getting it strapped to the rack a bit fussy. But the biggest ding was one of the snaps for anchoring the back straps popped off the first time I used the bag. A clip to hold the straps together would work better. I made use of a Velcro cue sheet holder. It works better than the snaps.
Light and convenient
I'm a small adult so I figured kid size will work fine. I have another convertible back pack but it's on the heavier side and one has to do several steps to remove it from the bike rack, hook up the straps, and then reverse the process. I needed something lighter and easier to use. This looks like it will do the job when I need to travel fast and light. I can't answer to the durability or waterproof qualities yet, but I have a number of Po Campo bags which are working out well.
This backpack is a huge hit with my 7yr old. The size and shape of the straps makes it super easy for him to wear comfortably. The padded straps are also great and very comfortable. The side mesh pockets are a must bc he stores all his "treasures" there for easy access. My son also loves strapping it on to my rear bike rack. Overall, a total winner. While the velcro alternative is awesome, I find the kids can't seem to close the bag effectively on their own. It definitely takes a grown up to help secure it into place.
