If you've recently emailed us about a product question, you probably heard back from our newest employee Cassie Benoit. She's handling customer service and making sure people get the products shipped to them in a timely matter. Here's a Q & A with her to help you get to know her better!

Tell us a bit about your hometown. Where do you insist on taking out of town guests?

My hometown is Freeport on an island in The Bahamas about 53mi from Florida called Grand Bahama.  On a small island, and even smaller city, growing up you would have probably known or heard of just about anyone in your age set.  For me it was always be home but my traveling spirit keeps me going.

My favorite place to take friends would be 'Pisces' a restaurant known for amazing seafood dishes and awesome pizza. They incorporate typical Bahamian dishes with a flare of flavors from around the world with seafood. 'SO GOOD'

What is your favorite thing about Po Campo?

My favorite thing about Po Campo is that it is something so necessary. As a person that travels bike shares and biking are such a key part in my visits to cities.  A problem I always had would be carrying a backpack or not having something that fits the bike share storage unit.  Such a fantastic idea.

A favorite tip (or two) about how you incorporate mindfulness and healthy habits into your daily life?

The best tip I have is to always start small.  Most of the time going cold turkey or just stopping leads to disappointments.  If you want to stop drinking sodas, don't just stop. Limit yourself little by little until your body stops craving them.
Secondly, find something you enjoy to stay active.  A gym workout isn't for everyone. Bike riding may be your thing, or maybe swimming.  The way you raise your heart rate is not as important as actually raising it.  Don't be burdened by what's hot – try them all and find what you like. Doing exercise you love has tons more benefits.

A suggestion for women who are interested in biking but have safety concerns?

My suggestion for women is to stay in known areas and always take the route you know. If you have to bike to a new area, get familiar with it first. Google the area, know certain shops.  If you have an issue or fear for your safety you will feel a bit more comfortable knowing in the back of your mind where to go.

Favorite biking memory?

Biking in La Rambla, Barcelona (image source)
My favorite biking memory would be riding down La Ramblas in Barcelona. It was an amazing day.  We rented bikes and just rode stopping at little cafes and boutiques.  I am still planning a redo. The city is definitely one to see by Bike.

If you could be amazing at playing any one instrument, which would you pick?

I wish I had stuck with my piano lessons.  I wish I was amazing at the piano.

If you could wake up fluent in any language, which would it be?

If I could be fluent in French I would be so happy. I have always had an affinity to the language. It doesn't help that my last name is French.  Maybe one day I will be.
