Where does the name “Po Campo” come from?

Po Campo is a minor character in Larry McMurtry’s Lonesome Dove, one of Maria’s favorite books. She was drawn to the character because of his adventurous spirit, self-reliance and confidence to do things his own way while maintaining a child-like curiosity with the wonders of the everyday. Plus, it’s fun to say and look at!

My bag got grease/dirt/mud/coffee/hot sauce/ink on it – how should I clean it?

No worries, we designed our bags to be able to take some abuse! Just apply a dab of dish soap onto the stain and gently rub it with a damp towel or old toothbrush. All of our fabrics are nonabsorbent so with a little diligence, it will come clean.

Where do you manufacture your products?

We work with a French-owned boutique factory with facilities in southeast China and Vietnam that produces high quality bags in small production runs for (mostly) European outdoor brands. Read more about our factory in this blog post.

Do you have any vegan products?

Starting in 2013, all our bags are leather free – and loving it!

Which of your bags fit laptops and tablets?

These days, we’re all biking with laptops! The Bedford Backpack Pannier has a padded pocket that fits most laptops. The Katy Trunk Bag has a pocket that fits most tablets.

Do you do custom orders?

We are unable to do one-of-a-kind custom orders but we would love to discuss your ideas for larger orders. Please visit our Corporate Sales page for more info.

What kinds of coatings are on your fabrics?

Our fabrics are coated with polyurethane (PU). We do not use durable water resistance (DWR) coatings which can contain Per- and Polyfluorinated Substances (PFAS). Read more about our sustainability practices here.

Returns and Exchanges

My bag broke! What is your warranty policy?

We’re sorry to hear that! While we take great care to produce quality products that stand the test of time, occasionally something will go awry. We evaluate each product failure individually but in most cases we will replace the bag or issue a credit for our online store, given that the damage is beyond normal wear and tear. Please fill out our Warranty Form, which includes shipping instructions.

The Po Campo bag I received isn’t what I was expecting. Can I return it?

Oh shoot, sorry to hear that! Yes, of course you can return it. Just send it back within a month and we will refund your money. You also have 90 days to return your purchase for a store credit or exchange. Of course, the bag must be unused and in like-new condition.

Most orders ship within 1-2 days with USPS, and take 2-4 days to arrive.
